Latest Sermon
Each week our pastor presents a challenge straight from the Scriptures. It is our prayer that every message heard will both bless and challenge those hearts who receive it. There's nothing like being here in person to experience worship together, but when we are unable to, we are thankful to have worship available live and archived on both Facebook and Youtube.

Administrative Committee Minutes – July 2025
In attendance: Josh Phillips, Austin Kyle, Steve Watkins, Melanie Hahn, Allyson Walker, and Ben Brown
Meeting was opened in prayer.
Austin Kyle gave a report from the Personnel Committee. A survey has been printed in the bulletin to allow input regarding Family Night Suppers. The church family is being asked to share suggestions on ways to improve participation at the Wednesday night meals.
The paid position for Children’s Music Director will be eliminated in 2026 as decided by the Personnel Committee and the Finance Committee.
Austin and 5 other men will be going on a mission trip to Southeast Asia in August. He said he had been asked about the possibility of organizing more local missions events so that more people could have opportunities to participate.
Kurt Tavernier was unable to attend, so Allyson gave an update on the budget. Offerings have held steady throughout the summer thus far and that is very encouraging. At the end of June, our receipts are well ahead of the amount needed for the budget.
Melanie Hahn and Steve Watkins gave an update from the 50 for Faith and Families Committee. A recent study was done on the condition of the sewer system of the existing buildings. It is in fair condition considering the age of the buildings. If any work is done on the basement level, those pipes would have to be sleeved or replaced. The architect who is working on the plans for the new addition should have drawings submitted within the next two weeks.
Melanie also gave a report on the Children’s Ministry. A group of 9 children and 2 chaperones will be going to KidSalt on July 14. She and Pastor Josh are currently having meetings with all leaders in all areas of children’s ministries. The goal is to keep everyone informed, to discuss any issues that may be encountered, and to ensure everyone has the materials and support they need to excel in training/discipling our children.
Ben Brown gave a report from the Maintenance Committee. The new chiller is not communicating correctly with our software. Ben has spoken with several people in an attempt to get this issue resolved. He is waiting to hear back from Carrier, the company who manufactured the chiller. There is no way to know what steps will need to be taken or an estimated cost at this time. There are still some funds available in the account that was used to pay for the chiller should the need arise.
Ben and Steve also said that they are aware of problems with our existing firewall, as well as issues with the security cameras. The problems seem to stem from network installation issues. They are working diligently to find a resolution for both issues as soon as possible.
Steve also said that the Security Team is continually looking at ways to better protect everyone on our campus. A rise in church shootings nationwide is cause for concern in taking every precaution we can to ensure safety. They will continue to keep us as informed as possible.
Pastor Josh shared that we are in the process of developing a monthly newsletter which will have much more information regarding our church ministries. It will also include a monthly calendar. This will replace our existing bulletin. There will still be a printout on Sundays with the order of service in it, along with a place for taking notes.
Meeting adjourned.
