Joshua M. Phillips

Senior Pastor

Dr. Joshua Phillips was born and raised as a pastors kid. He was saved at age nine at Sylvia Baptist Church in Dickson, Tennessee. Surrendered to full-time ministry in 2003. Pastor Josh earned his Masters of Divinity and his Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as associate pastor for sixteen years at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Port Deposit, Maryland. Josh, his wife Jaclyn, and three children accepted the call in October 2020 to serve as Lead Pastor at Honea Path First Baptist Church. Pastor Josh loves hunting, sports, riding horses, traveling, and reading.

Allyson Walker

Administrative Assistant
Allyson was born and raised in Honea Path and grew up in First Baptist Church.  She has served as our Administrative Assistant since December 2001.  Her responsibilities include clerical support and maintaining financial and membership records. She and her husband, John, are both members of the Adult Choir. They joyfully welcomed their son, Isaac, to their family in 2008.  They actively participate in various ministries of our church and look forward to seeing God work through them, as well as in our community.

tammy Jo Welch

Office Assistant
Tammy Jo was born and raised in Belton.  She and Glenn were married in 1990.  They have had the pleasure of raising 2 wonderful and amazing boys.  She keeps the Nursery whenever she can and teaches Sunday School.
